Jammin’ Jars: cluster wins and moving multiplier jars

Jammin’ Jars is Push Gaming’s original 8×8 cascading grid game. Five or more matching fruit symbols form a cluster; jars act as wilds and scatters, while RTP depends on the installed configuration.

A cluster is not a payline

Push Gaming describes an 8×8 cascading grid. A group of at least five matching fruit symbols can form a winning cluster; the reader should look for connected groups rather than follow a fixed left-to-right line. The exact paytable determines the award for each group size.

Compare Starburst, where fixed paylines, rather than touching clusters, determine ordinary wins.

What the cascade changes

After a winning cluster clears, new fruit falls into the empty positions. The grid is checked again and another qualifying cluster may continue the same round. A cascade is therefore a sequence of evaluations, not a run of newly purchased spins.

Imagine five connected berries are removed and the replacement symbols make a new group. The second group is evaluated using the paytable at that stage; the example illustrates the order only. It is not evidence that one win makes a second more likely.

Why the jars matter

The supplier calls the jam jar both a wild and scatter. A jar’s multiplier begins at 1× and applies to wins to which that jar contributes under the game rules. Several jars and repeated cascades can change the multiplier picture during a feature; a displayed jar is not a standalone payment.

Three or more jars start free games. Push Gaming also describes a randomly triggered Rainbow feature involving large fruit. Keep that feature separate from the guaranteed consequence of a three-jar trigger: the official description does not say a Rainbow event must occur in each round.

Read the right RTP version

The developer lists 96.83% and 94.25% RTP versions and says casinos may carry different settings. The appropriate number is the one shown in the installed game’s information panel or loading screen. Neither published variant predicts a particular session, and a figure from Jammin’ Jars 2 would describe another product.

Even on the same 8×8 layout, changes to configuration affect the mathematical long-run ratio. Use our RTP guide to separate a modelled return from a short run of wins or losses.

Australian editorial scope

Jammin’ Jars is covered for its distinct cluster-and-jar mechanic. The free supplier demonstration does not show that a real-money online slot can lawfully be supplied in Australia. ACMA lists pokies among prohibited online services, so a game article should not be mistaken for an Australian availability listing.

The same caution applies when a casino labels a game only by its series name: verify the precise edition, rules and configured RTP before comparing it with the version described here.
